What impressed us is how much it works offline. There's no energy timer tied to a clock server, so you can plan a dozen turns on a long flight and never hit a wall. The tech tree branches in ways that genuinely change how your empire feels.

The tutorial is a bit stingy with explanations, so expect a rocky first hour. Push past it and you'll find a strategy game with real staying power.
