Arcade racers that don't need a single bar
There's a certain thrill to a quick arcade race, and it's maddening when that genre insists on being online. Racers should be the last thing that needs a connection.
Neon Drift Rally became our test car. Everything unlocks through play, the ghost-car time trials run offline, and the controls hold up whether you tilt or tap. I lost a good chunk of a long flight to chasing lap times.
The thing I look for in a mobile racer is whether the drifting feels good in short bursts. You shouldn't need a tutorial to enjoy a two-minute race.
Skip anything that locks cars behind online-only events. A proper offline racer lets you earn everything on your own schedule, dead zone or not.
